Brigita Brezovac
Where and when were you born?
I was born 24.09.1979 in Ptuj, Slovenia.
What is your profession?
I have few different professions: economist, masseuse and personal trainer.
Were you involved in sports or fitness prior to bodybuilding and how did you get started with weight training?
I’ve trained karate for eight years, got my black belt, I was national champion in fights and I also did some tae-kwon-do and boxing. When I was 14 years old I saw the photo of Corry Everson and I wanted to look like her. Then I lived only for karate and when included weight training I got very good results.
Was it a goal for you to compete in bodybuilding competitions right from the beginning or was it something that grew in your mind as time went on and you saw the progress in your body?
First my goal was to compete in Miss Fitness category and I was dreaming to compete on Ms Fitness Olympia first. When the judges told me my physique is more appropriate for bodybuilding I decided to do my best in fbb. I love being on stage.
Can you give me your competition history?
2009 IFBB Worlds Women Championship Como, Italy (Bodybuilding, heavy weight) 2nd
2010 Tampa Pro IFBB 1st
2010 Europa Battle of Champions 1st
2010 Ms. Olympia 10th
Which contest has been your biggest success; which has had the most meaning to you?
My biggest success is definitely my first pro debut and winning the Tampa Pro show. I just couldn’t believe this is really happening for a long time after the show was over because it was much more than just a dream coming true. That was the highest ratification in my life.
Please tell me something about your training routine (ie: how many days per week / training split /cardio, etc.)
In off season I train 5-6 times per week (no cardio, one muscle group per week). I always stick to the basics and do most of my training with free weights. During preparations I train twice per day, I have a split training and one hour of cardio per day.
What is your favorite exercise in the gym and which one you don’t like so much?
My favorite exercise in the gym is behind the neck press for shoulders and inclined bench press.
Which body part is your best in your opinion?
My best body part is probably my back.
If you don’t mind would you give me some stats (best lifts and some body measurements)?
My best lifts are squat with 160kg, bench press with 110kg and dead lift 160kg.
My body measurements: arm 41cm, leg 62cm.
What do you enjoy about training for competition....what do you enjoy about the 'off season'?
About training for competition: simply, I love to compete! And it’s a great feeling when your body is changing almost everyday. In off season I really enjoy in good food. I love cooking for my friends and family.
Please describe a typical day in the life of Brigita Brezovac.
As I usually go to bed late, I get up around 9am and eat my breakfast. During the day I’m preparing meals as I always cook fresh; I spend more and more time behind the computer, I love to read books and hang out with friends. Before the gym I take my time off and I usually work out late in the evening.
Please tell me about what you do when you don’t work out ( hobbies, what do you do to relax?, etc.)
I love nature so I have a nice garden at home which is full of biological vegetable and that keeps me busy and relaxed during the season.
I enjoy yoga classes where I get a good stretch and keep my body flexible, I like reading books, lately more philosophical and biography type and I especially love shopping and fashion. I enjoy art exhibitions and music from opera to house but I’m pretty picky about the movies. I couldn’t live without traveling around the world.
What do you enjoy most about the bodybuilding/fitness lifestyle?
In my lifestyle I love the discipline and persistence.
Tell me something interesting about yourself, something people may be surprised to hear.
Instead of sweet little girl I was a tomboy when I was a child and I had all the boys on the block under my control.

Growing up I played Soccer and Softball, but as I got older I was more involved in gymnastics and cheerleading. When I was in 8th grade I tried out for All Star cheerleading and made it as one of the youngest on the squad! That same year, I also made the High school gymnastics team. The practices never overlapped which made me able to participate in both simultaneously! Throughout High School I was a cheerleader in a very competitive program, we competed all over the US, even at Nationals in Dallas TX. After HS I was involved in the program in a variety of ways… I volunteered 1 season as the team conditioning coach. Another season I worked as one of the choreographers for there competition routine.
In the beginning of my junior year in HS I got a job at Golds Gym Wappingers in the Child Care department. I frequently went to the gym, mostly for ZUMBA class, cardio, Abs, and conditioning type workouts. At the time, I didn’t have much knowledge on weight training. That January I signed up for the Golds Gym “Body Transformation” which was not just a weight loss contest! However it was a contest and I have a pretty competitive nature so of course I’d enter this! It was a 12 week program that initially offered 2 complimentary personal training sessions. I LOVED my trainer, to be honest this is really when I first thought I wanted to be a trainer! By the end of the 12 weeks I had only lost 4 lbs… not surprising since I was never really out of shape, but I was shocked to have lost 11% bodyfat! I noticed my abs first, but my arms also started to show some cuts. That was just the beginning…
I was always involved in sport specific training and conditioning workouts, but when I started weight training I enjoyed it the most and saw better results fast! Once I was shown or told something, I remembered it. Too bad that didn’t always happen in school! My mom always told me that when I’m interested in something it comes naturally. She was exactly right, because that’s what happened with training.
I split my training into 4 different days of workouts. 1) Legs & Abs 2) Shoulders & Calves 3) Back, Biceps & Abs 4) Chest, Triceps & Calves. I follow either 2-3 days on 1 day off than 2-3 days on 1 day off. Rest is just as important as training, and it is part of my schedule to make sure I have at least 2 days off from weight training each week. During 8-12 weeks of pre-contest prep I follow that same plan but the off days would most likely be some form of cardio training, posing practice, yoga, massage, or other activity.
My contest diet is strictly based on blood type beneficial/neutral foods. Based on my progress I will alter the amounts of each macro-nutrient but never completely eliminating all of one like some contest diets do. Another thing I would change are types of protein if I feel I should be loosing more body fat faster I may switch to fish as my main protein source rather than chicken or turkey. I make sure to eat my meals 3 hours apart from one another with the exception of my post workout protein shake and the following meal. After every workout I drink VPX Graham cracker flavored Zero Carb SRO which is a Whey Protein Isolate, because of its fast digesting nature I use it simply to recover but eat my next meal about 1 hour later. Each day I try to drink between 1 and 1.5 gallons of water. This is all pretty much the same plan in the off-season, the only thing that changes is the amounts of food and maybe a few “unplanned meals” here and there. I’d say an average day is 4-5 of my 6 daily meals are “clean” with 1 extra meal that may not be completely off the charts cheating, just not something I’d eat during contest prep. My goal right now is to maintain my weight as long as possible before I start to cut down to get ready for a Spring show.
Something very important I’d like every girl to hear is that weight training will not turn you into a bodybuilder. (many of us wish it was that easy) To be honest its the diet that decides what type of physique you will make. For example, If I am training 3 female competitors, 1 bikini, 1 figure, and 1 fit body; all three of them would have similar goals in weight training like Rep Range, Sets,Tempo and Volume. Basically the weight they lift will be different due to each individuals strength but they will all be pushing as hard as they can. What should be different are Rest periods, Cardio, and DIET. Diet being the key here, if you want to be a bodybuilder you will have to eat! A female figure competitor can train just like a bodybuilder but would most likely be consuming half the calories which determines how they look.
My contest History:
2007 INBF NYS 2nd place Figure

Ever since I ever knew I was the very active, sportive kind of kid. I had endless energy resources and I loved sports. I began with some track when I was 12 years old. I didn’t do competitions in track and field but in my summer holidays I used to train 2 times a day, about 3 hours each time. I loved to sprint and didn’t like the long distance races. Starting with 15 I started to attend aerobics classes and I loved the fitness part of it, working with weights. At 18 I entered the gym in my native town just to keep fit and lose some weight. That was the moment I fell in love with bodybuilding. I remember, upon starting to go to the little gym in my quiet native town, I began to read the little thin bodybuilding magazines that I could find on the Romanian market at that time. The competition movement in Romanian bodybuilding was kind of poor at that time, but I remember one girl in the gym getting ready for a National Junior Championship…and I admit I felt admiration for her and I wished I had her muscles . I kept on training for the next two years until one day I entered another gym in another town, where I was a student, and the trainer there saw my potential and suggested to me I should train to compete. I’ll never forget how honored I felt…and how happy. So I guess I would have liked to compete but I didn’t manage till I got someone to support me and help me.
2011 Ms International - 3rd
2010 Ms International - 8th
2008 IFBB Worlds Santa Susanna, first heavyweight & overall
2007 NABBA Miss Universe, Miss Physique class
2006 1st place Grand Prix Due Torri, Bologna, Italy
2005 5th place Women’s European Championship, Yalta, Ukraine
2005 second place Mixed Pairs European Championship with Angelo Alexa
2004 second place IFBB European Championship, heavyweight in Tavira, Portugal-2003 first place National Championship, middleweight
I train 5 days a week, one muscle group a day; I train heavy all the time, except for the legs that I train with low weight but high reps when I get ready for a competition. Usually in off season I try to stay as little as possible in the gym, like 50 minutes or 1 hour maximum and work with high intensity. The main differences between training in off season and training for a competition is, that I change the diet , train my legs with higher reps and also perform some cardio, any type, except I hate to run.

Jana Linke Sippl
I was born in Neustadt a.d. Orla, a little town in Thuringia where I also grew up.
After my 10th year graduate at school, I finished my education with an A-Level as an optician in Jena at the company Carl Zeiss.
I broke up my follow-up higher education in mechanical engineering in Freiberg due to the former socialist circumstances as I couldn`t deal with them. So I switched into gastronomy.
I always liked sports, no matter what kind. I participated in athletics and speed roller-skating competitions, I played tennis and I was also active as a parachute jumper.
My father made my first dumb-bells which was in fact the first step into bodybuilding. The first time I went to a gym was after my successful escape over Hungary to Austria and then Germany. From that day on, I couldn’t do without anymore.
After only 16 months of training, I competed for the first time. But for private reasons I had to stop again for six years. In 1997, I decided to start to train in a gym again and from 1998 on I competed almost every year. Then there was a double surgery on my slipped disc in 1999 and thus, I re-educated as an IT specialist and after that I became a licensed fitness trainer. I had to cope with another surgery on my jaw in 2002 but none of these interventions could keep me from the competitive bodybuilding.
Due to the bad work situation in Germany I’ve been living in Graz, Austria, since 2003 where I continue my regular training and will be true and present to all bodybuilding fans over the future period of time.
Stats:
Height: 171cm/ 5'7"
Competition Weight: 81 kg/ 178 lbs
Weight (Off season): 91 kg/ 200 lbs
Biceps: 43 cm / 17"
Chest: 117cm / 46"
Waist: 76 cm / 30"
Quads: 68 cm / 27"
Calves: 44 cm / 17.5"

I was born in Athens, where I live and work, on 15 january. At the age of 8,I started to train martial arts, and more specifically Kung Fu.I got involved with martial arts championships from '89 to '94.
I always liked to add a few weights in my training for muscular strengthening something that I started to like more and more.
At the age of 17 i realized that I was ''madly in love with dumbbells''. I began to exercise intensively with weights, and at the same time reading innumerable books about exercises, training sessions with weights, diets and anatomy.
I decided to start competing in body-building competitions, and in may of 2006 in the Mr. and Mrs. Hellas NABBA contest I conquered the 1st place in the ''Figure'' class and in the NABBA WORLD Championship I conquered the 4th place in the ''Figure'' class.
In the Pan-Hellenic WABBA Championship at the ''Mr. and Mrs Greece' contest 12/11/2006, I conquered the 1st place.
In the World Championship of WABBA bodybuilding and fitness in 26/11/2006, I conquered the 2nd place.

kim ferrell
Where and when were you born?
I was born June 26th, 1971 in Summit, New Jersey
What is your profession?
I work for the US Government, (and that’s all have to say about that)
Were you involved in sports or fitness prior to bodybuilding and how did you get started with weight training?
I’ve always been an active person, playing softball, soccer, swimming and basketball growing up. My dad was also very active with working out and cycling. He used to have books and magazines around with bodybuilders in them and on the covers. I’ve always sort of idolized Corey Everson. I’ve been attracted to the sport from a very young age. I started weight training in high school. I had to lift when conditioning for varsity softball. In my sophomore year they offered a weight training class which I took and have been training off and on ever since.
Was it a goal for you to compete in bodybuilding competitions right from the beginning or was it something that grew in your mind as time went on and you saw the progress in your body?
I had always thought about competing since I first learned about the sport. I had no idea how to go about it as far as diet, and prep and such. My husband finally convinced me I could do it. I watched my friend Jennifer McNew win her first show at the age of 39. I watched her body morph into this awesome body of muscle and finally decided I could do it.
Can you give me your competition history?
My competition experience is brief but successful.
2005 Kentucky State 1st Heavyweight and Overall
2006 Northern Kentucky 1st Middleweight and Overall
2006 Junior Nationals 6th Light Heavyweight
2007 NPC USA 7th Light Heavyweight
2007 IFBB North American 6th Light Heavyweight
Which contest has been your biggest success; which has had the most meaning to you?
Both of my shows have meant a great deal to me. The KY state because it was my first show. I was pretty much in the clouds all day, not really worried, just wanted to present myself the best I could and let the cards fall where they may. Fortunately they fell in my favour. The Northern Kentucky show is the biggest regional show in the Midwest. It’s a great honor to have been a part of it as well as to have won such a prestigious show.
Please tell me something about your training routine (ie: how many days per week / training split /cardio, etc.)
My training split is nothing unusual. I typically lift 5 days a week, usually Monday thru Friday. Legs, chest, back, shoulders, arms, all on separate days. For contest prep it gets mixed up a little plus cardio gets added in after weights and then in the mornings the closer I get to a show.
What is your favorite exercise in the gym and which one you don’t like so much?
I love working shoulders and arms. I love the pump! I really don’t care for chest workouts though. Hurts the shoulders.
Which body part is your best in your opinion?
I’m proud of my shoulders right now. I think my legs have potential so we’ll see if my answer changes down the road.
If you don’t mind would you give me some stats (best lifts and some body measurements)?
Seeing as how I have no desire to be a power lifter, I don’t push for ‘lifting a ton of weight’. I try to push myself without getting hurt. The most I’ll squat is 315, deads no more than 225 and I try to stay away from leg press since it hurts my hips now that I’m older. My upper body is not terribly strong so no big lifts to speak of but my arms were about 14” or so-and still growing, don’t know the rest of my measurements currently. Except everything is growing!
What do you enjoy about training for competition....what do you enjoy about the 'off season'?
Off season? Haven’t really had one yet. I love the structure of preparing for a show. I love knowing what to eat, not having to decide. I miss my sweets though, so once I’m officially in a real off season I’ll have lots of chocolate and cookies, and brownies, and ………you get the idea.
Please describe a typical day in the life of Kim Ferrell.
My life is pretty quiet. Get up, do cardio, eat, go to work, go to the gym, go home. My husband, Bill, trains with me. So from the time I hit the gym, we are together. On the weekends, he does a lot of fishing and I take care of all my flowers and plants outside.
Please tell me about what you do when you don’t work out ( hobbies, what do you do to relax?, etc.)
I love taking care of my plants/flowers outside. I love planting flowers and making new flower beds, etc. I love movies and baking. Haven’t done a ton of baking lately-this diet thing kind of restricts that a bit.
What do you enjoy most about the bodybuilding/fitness lifestyle?
I love getting on stage. I love seeing my body transform. I love the whole process. The diet, the training, picking and suits, the routine, all of it is fun for me. I love the fact that my husband loves it right along with me. My coach is also a big part of what keeps the spark going. He’s the one who masterminds most of my prep and keeps me on my toes.
Tell me something interesting about yourself, something people may be surprised to hear.
I’m actually a very boring person and a bit of a dork. I’m a home body who loves chocolate, flowers, my cats and my family. I could sit and watch Harry Potter movies all weekend. The one thing that more people will soon learn is that I’m a terrible clumsy fool. I haven’t an ounce of grace in my body.
What are your competition goals or personal future goals?
I plan to compete in Junior Nationals this June. I’ll decide what’s next for competitions after Junior’s. I think a lot will depend on my placing at Junior’s. Of course, I would love to get a pro card, but who wouldn’t. I see where this takes me and take it as far as I can.
My personal goals are simple: to have a kid or two and live happily ever after of course!

Kortney Olson
As you know I’m Kortney with a K. I’ve learned most lessons in life @ a price. Some were even pretty cheap! Conversely, some.. well… not-so-much. All in all, I like to package it up with a pretty bow like this; “I’ve done all the hard work, so you don’t have to!”.
Let’s see here…. about me huh? Well, I was born breech, recently told by a medium that I’ve been a man in several of my past lives and that is why I carry so many male characteristics, I love watching documentaries exposing the truth (i.e. “Food INC”, “zero: an investigation into 9/11, “Sicko”), I hate watching horror and suspense movies, I ate flavored chapstick as a kid, I prefer button-fly over zipper jeans, I suffer from the people pleasing disease, I have a hard time saying “no”, I love Prince, play a plethora of musical instruments, I’m a Scorpio, and finally, I’m an insecure, over-achiever, who happens to hate swimming. Oh, and I love being strong and seeing visible muscles everywhere on my body.
Oh! My bad… you want to know what my cred is? (for all the mums and dads, “cred” is short for credentials). OK, fine:
I’m a certified personal trainer, three time international bodybuilding competitor, author, TV personality, NRL fitness consultant, an improving martial artist, and above all, an advocate for gender equality.
Initially this site was designed for a female audience, when I first had the idea to build this platform back in 2009. However, as much as I’d like to offer my experience, strength, and hope for other women going through some of the things I’ve been through (body image issues, rape, anxiety, weight issues etc), I realized over time, that men can be just as vulnerable as women. Factually, even more vulnerable than women because they can’t ask for help as easily.
In my world, it would be deemed acceptable by society that men don’t have to be “manly”, and women don’t have to act “lady-like”. In my world, men can have feelings, and women can have muscles.
Too often, I see people being held back from reaching their potential. If this site does anything, I hope it can play some part in helping a few people be the person they truly want to be.

Erin Stern
2010 Figure Olympia Champion.
Erin grew up riding horses, and for fun would run next to her horse and jump fences with him. Her parents suggested she try out for the track team in high school.
She went on to compete in the high jump, pentathlon, and heptathlon for the University of Florida, and was a Jr All-American and Co-Captain of the team while at UF.
Still competing in the high jump in 2008, she missed the Olympic Qualifying Standard in the high jump by 3 cm. This near miss prompted her to try and be competitive in a different sport: Figure.
She earned her IFBB Pro Card by winning the Overall Figure Championship at NPC Nationals in 2008, which was her third show! Erin captured her first title as the 2010 Olympia Figure Champion. She has a BA in Environmental Policy from UF, and is currently a Realtor, contest prep consultant, and a writer.

Amanda Quinlan
Amanda Quinlan. Originally from Northern Georgia, the 33-year-old figure competitor now takes up residence along the sun-kissed sands of Palm Beach County, Florida.
Q-Babe: Amanda Quinlan poses during her shoot at the USAs, where she finished 4th in class D.
In this new teaser, Amanda flexes her granite biceps and gets the blood pumping through her vascular extremities by curling one hand into a tight fist, revealing an indomitable forearm lined with scintillating striations woven together like twisted steel. It’s a gripping moment.
And compelling enough to forgive a bad pun.
Anyway…with an iron grasp like Amanda’s, she certainly doesn’t have to worry about forearm fatigue during training. The same can’t be said for those willing to take her on in a wrist curl challenge — or even more futile, an arm wrestling match.
One look at this striking national level competitor in contest shape — as she was when the Studio caught up with her at last year’s USAs — suggests she has the muscle and conditioning to be a prime candidate as a future bodybuilder crossover.
Definitely something to ponder as we follow Amanda’s progress this season. Also, fans can check out her myspace page for more info plus lots of cute, candid pics.

Larissa Reis
How did you get started?I was born in the Brazilian capital city of Brasilia. I am the only child of two very loving, but strict and demanding, parents who deserve all the credit for helping me to become the women that I am today. From the very beginning a love of sports, competition, and the fitness lifestyle, was a passion of mine.
It’s a passion that continues to burn in me to this day. When combined with my natural athleticism, the fitness lifestyle opened up an amazing door of opportunity for me; the chance to enter into the very prestigious world of Playboy as a featured playmate.
Being a playmate opened up additional doors and my following opportunity, a marketing campaign for a health food supplement store, exposed me to the world of female figure competition. From that moment, my career path began to crystallize.
Where does your motivation come from?I consider it a blessing that my success as a professional figure competitor has given me the opportunity to represent Nutrex, the leading fitness industry supplement company in the world. Nutrex and the IFBB have given me the opportunity to meet, inspire, and experience many exciting and interesting people. To realize one’s purpose in life is a goal that all successful people aspire to. Though sometimes uncertain, if one follows their heart, positions themselves in a positive environment, and surrounds themselves with good people, the end result will no doubt be a happy and rewarding life.

Candice Houston
Top amateur contender Candice Houston had been knocking on the door of the IFBB for a long time. Over the weekend, in one of the toughest NPC USAs ever and in front of a hometown crowd, she finally kicked it in.
The 37-year-old figure competitor — curvy matriarch of Tenacious Fitness, her own personal training company in Las Vegas — earned her pro card last Saturday night with a dramatic win in the B-class. For the 5-foot-2, 112-pound brunette, the romp at UNLV campus redeems more than a season’s worth of near-misses.
Overall winner of the 2008 Arnold Amateur, Candice had laced together a string of wildly impressive top-three finishes — third this year at Junior Nats and last year’s Team Universe; second at last year’s Nationals and USAs — that was getting long enough to stretch across Yucca Flats.
Newly crowned IFBB figure pro Candice Houston.
But Candice kept her head up. She trained hard and remained close, stalking a first-place trophy like a rattlesnake hunting prey in the Mojave. Meanwhile, she became a model of rock-hard consistency and unselfish class — a distinguished medal she carries into the pros.

About | NPC National Competitor, Fitness Model, Personal Trainer and Writer. |
Biography | I am originally from Ohio where I was the third born in a family with all girl siblings. My father and mother were quite athletic and encouraged my passion for health and fitness at a very young age. While in college, I began training with weights and became a certified instructor. Shortly thereafter I became married and set out to train for my first show. Several weeks out, we had discovered tha...t we were happily expecting our first child. The labor was a difficult one and we were horrified to find out that she had suffered a massive stroke during the process. The years to follow were diffficult. My new passion was to have her recover and be the best person she could possibly be. The doctors were astounded at her development over the years. At times ,going to the gym was my only release. I had never forgot my passion and dream, only postponed it. I set out in 2010 to train for my first show and placed 2nd followed by a first place win!! I enjoyed the journey and realized that it is a fabulous example to my children as well. I want to show them that they accomplish anything they want to. Dedication, hard work and goal setting are great factors for encouraging motivation and feeling successful. I have NO regrets and only anticipation in moving forward into the year ahead!!:)See More |

Mari Kudla
My Story
As a child my sport of choice was gymnastics. However i discovered it a bit too late to excel beyond the basics. Being the quiet shy baby of my family (2 sisters) i found that being the center of attention at competitions was terrifying. The thought of "all eyes on me" did not sound appealing to me. I continued however to compete on the private club team until just before high school. I was beginning to miss out on the little things in life that took place outside of gymnastics. This is also when I accepted that I had started this sport at a late age and just did not have some of the abilities of the younger gymnasts. This was a hard fact to face up to because I loved everything about being a gymnast.
My spirits were lifted though, as I competed for my high school team, was named captain of it, and found that I could motivate and help instruct my teammates with less of a gymnastics background than myself.
After graduation, In 1998 I moved to Columbus to attend Ohio State. I began teaching aerobics and lifting weights between classes. I had become accustomed to the grueling strength and conditioning exercise from my years of gymnastics, and missed the physical challenge . Thru the aerobics program i met a friend who would introduce me to Mike Davies-a personal trainer who took interest in fitness competitions. It was April '99 and i had never even seen a fitness competition (figure was not yet created), but decided if I was going to lift, I may as well do it right and get the most out of it.
Working with Mike Davies has been a fantastic, motivating, challenging journey from day one. I never could have guessed how training under him would change my life. With much apprehension, he convinced me to show off my hard work at a small competition. Summing up all my nerve, one year and two days after I had first met Mike, I stepped on stage for my first fitness contest. I couldn't believe it when I won!!! I became hooked with that first taste of achievement.
Under Mike's guidance of proper diet and exercise I went on to compete in 7 shows my first year (2000 season). By the time Christmas rolled around I held one overall title, three 1st, two 2nd, and a 3rd at Nationals--I missed turning pro by just a few points!!!
After an exciting yet exhausting year I unexpectedly started a family with my husband Dennis. Dennis has always supported my goals and is the one who 'shook me from my shy shell in order to start competing. He is a fabulous father and our little Lenna is the best trophy anyone could ask for! After a cesarean, a long recovery and a move back to Cleveland, I was so anxious to get back to the gym!
By now (early 2002) the NPC had started the new Figure Category. With my daughter absorbing more of my time, a house, two dogs and a cat to manage, I decided to cross over and devote all my training time to my physique.
Eight months after delivery, I was stunned when I won my first show back, the Monica Brant-Body Rock 2002. A few weeks later I received my Pro card by taking first place in New York at the Team Universe and Figure Nationals.
I was shocked and almost asked if there had been some mistake ....I just had a baby!
Before it could even soak in, I traveled to Brno, Czech Republic for the World Amateur Body Building, Fitness and Figure Competition. USA took home two medals, silver and I carried the bronze.
From there, it was on to the first ever Pro Figure show at the Arnold Classic 2003. What an incredible experience! To this day it is my favorite pro contest. My first Olympia was fun, exciting, exhausting and memorable. I was so happy to come in fourth place that it took a few days to realize it.
Life after that became a whirlwind.
I got to meet many of my great fans...
make lots of new friends....
and work with some incredible photographers to see some beautiful...
and, ok, some not so beautiful places.....
All while trying to keep this crazy business in perspective...
and not losing track of what's most important!
(just kidding)!
My Little Lenna of course!
I competed in 2004 while growing my personal training business. It proved to be a challenge to juggle both successfully. I returned to the Figure International and the Olympia placing a bit out of my happy zone. :-(
So i spent 2005 and 2006 away from the stage, evaluating life as an "average Jane", continuing the personal training business and adding new dimensions to it, such as posing instruction for amateur competitors. After some soul searching and an amicable divorce, I decided to give the stage another try in 2007. I took on the task of balancing much more than I had previously, but I felt I have learned so much from all my recent experiences. Most recently I am excited to be involved with some new opportunities that will allow me to meet many more of you! I am now actively seeking those who have an extreme interest in maintaining or improving their Wellness - health and financial. I hope to extend my opportunity to you!
